One of the best places in Denver to buy a good guitar. Friendly and knowledgeable staff as well. If you are lucky you might get a chance to catch a jam session or small event. Great shop and great people!

Great place for repairs! My beloved HD-28-V developed hairline cracks on the bridge by both ends of the saddle. I brought it in to the old town pickin parlor (An authorized Martin repair shop). I talked to Glen and he told me it would be best to replace the bridge because a temporary fix may end up very badly down the road. I was extremely tentative leaving the guitar and having such major work done. Glen did a phenomenal job!!! He replaced the bridge, crafted a new saddle, slotted the pegs, insured the intonation and set the action perfectly. I would recommend them for any repair.

I bought a Martin D-28 there in 2000. It's a great guitar and this guitar shop is the best place to buy a Martin between Chicago and Los Angeles.

I really dig this shop. Excellent selection of old Martin and Gibson acoustics, and a variety of new high end acoustics. They also have resonators, banjos, mandolins, some archtops, and a variety of other stringed instruments. I always enjoy swinging by here to play their stock and talk guitars with the owner (and pet his sweet Labrador). They have a great luthier shop. They’ve worked on a bunch of guitars for me and have always done amazing work, and their shop rates and turnaround time are quite reasonable. Even though it’s a bit of a drive for me to get there, it’s well worth it, because I know that they’re gonna do great work on my guitar.

Have taken my daughters guitars to get strings at the Parlor. Now her vihuela needed a pick guard. They did an excellent and classy job and for a lower price than quoted. Always friendly and reasonable. Highly recommended.

Olde Town Pickin’ Parlor is a must visit for string instrument musicians. Located in Olde Town Arvada, this store looks modest from its exterior, but has an exceptional variety and stock of string instruments. The staff is friendly and helpful with instrument selection, repair and lessons. Whether your just starting, or a seasoned veteran, Olde Town Pickin’ Parlor is a great destination point.

An excellent music store with nice and helpful people. I saw a concert there, and looked for a violin. The prices are a bit high if you are a beginner musician looking for a starting instrument. However, if you are a more advanced musician and are willing to spend a bit more, they have some high quality instruments.

Had Josh replace the plastic nut and saddle with custom made bone on my '78 Sigma D-5. Added K&K mini pickup and full setup. Fantastic results, highly recommend!

Micah did a wonderful job bringing my 1937 Mandolin back to life and it pleased my 92 year old mother that used to play it as well it brought back years of memories.
Thanks again

Bought a very nice Martin there five years ago. Decided to spend some money on it recently and get a refrett and some minor issues addressed. I could not be happier, I’ve got a vintage Martin that plays and sounds better than new. I then brought in a project electric guitar that has been sitting around and had them finish it make a playable, very very happy with that as well. Pickin parlor it’s a very valued part of the community and a joy to hang out in.
Thanks to the entire staff!! Hollis🙂

Great supply of mandolins and guitars in a locally owned shop. I've used their luthiers a few times - great work.

Great place for lessons (I recommend Marlo for guitar) and repairs - both Marlo and Glenn have made some much needed repairs on my vintage Gibson with great results. Also, no better place to check out some great old acoustic guitars - lots of Martins and Gibsons on consignment. Highly Recommended!
